Waste Collection Moves to Friday for all Fenton Township Residents Effective February 1, 2021
Effective the week of February 1, 2021, Republic Services will be changing the waste and recycle collection day for all Fenton Township residents covered under the Township’s contract. Everyone’s service day will be Friday, with the first collection under this “single-day” approach on Friday February 5th. Weekly yard waste collection will resume in April, and will also be on Friday. When a holiday falls on a weekday, Fenton Township’s collection day will move to Saturday for that week.
An updated Trash & Recycling Brochure is now available on Fenton Township’s website, including the 2021 Waste Collection Calendar & Recycle Map.
PLEASE NOTE that the recycle week for some residents will change.
- For residents north of Silver Lake Road whose recycling was collected during the week of January 18-22, your next recycle collection day will be Friday February 12th. This is a 3-week gap between collections so if you have more recycling than will fit in the cart, please place additional items in a clear plastic bag and set next to your cart. From February 12th forward, your recycling will be every other week, (Yellow on the Recycle Map and Calendar).
- For residents south of Silver Lake Road whose recycling was collected during the week of January 25-29, your next recycle collection day will be Friday February 5th. This is only a 1-week gap between collections so you may not have a full recycle the cart. From February 5th forward, your recycling will be every other week, (Blue on the Recycle Map and Calendar).
Residents may the Republic Services Customer Service Department at 1-800-438-0966 for any questions regarding the service day change.
