A topic of current interest for many Fenton Township Residents is what effect short-term rentals, such as those listed on AirBnB.com and VRBO, might have on the quality of life in the Township. The Fenton Township Planning Commission began investigating Short Term Rentals in January 2023. In April/ May of 2023, the Planning Commission developed a survey seeking input on short-term rentals in the Township. The Survey was available to the public from May 11 to June 8, 2023.
6,739 surveys were mailed out to Fenton Township Residents
•594 paper surveys were returned
•485 online surveys were filled out
•110 surveys were returned by mail as undeliverable
•Total surveys returned were 1,079 for a 16.28%return rate
